11 Day Art and Culture Trip to ParisThe Hudson Valley Art Association is excited to announce the first in what will be an ongoing, annual series of workshops and tours. We’ve partnered with the Study Abroad Association, and in 2018 we will be offering two unique and exciting experiences for artists and art appreciators, alike. In May we have organized an 11-day art and culture trip to Paris. A brief overview of each trip can be found below. Paris Art and Culture Retreat May 29 - June 8, 2018Travelers will stay in the vibrant Montmartre neighborhood of Paris, a district famous as the home for such artists as Picasso, Renoir, and Degas. Each day travelers will be led on tours of various Parisian landmarks such as: the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, Notre Dame, Ste. Chapelle, Eiffel Tower, and Art Historical walking tours. The travelers will also enjoy excursions to Versailles, and Giverny to visit Monet’s gardens, home, and studio. As well, travelers will have ample free time to explore Paris, or, take inspiration from the city and create work, either during optional workshop sessions, or on their own.
